81% of people would prefer to die at home, but in South Devon only 24% of people achieve this.
Our Hospice at Home Appeal aims to raise vital funds to care for more people at home at the end of their lives, and to help more patients to achieve their wish of dying in the comfort of their own home with their loved ones by their side.
By recruiting more nurses and healthcare assistants for our Hospice at Home service, we will expand our expert care in the community and reach more families who so desperately need us.
“Hospice at Home can make such a huge difference; nurses can be that rock for families,” says Claire Redhead, Senior Nurse for Hospice at Home. “People only die once. It’s so important to get it right.”
With your support, more families will be able to make the most of precious moments together, and more patients will be able to achieve their final wish of dying in the loving comfort of home.
