Light up a Life Service
Welcome to this year’s Light up a Life virtual service – a wonderful online celebration where we remember and honour the special people who we love dearly and miss deeply.
Watch our Light up a Life video featuring meaningful readings, poems, music and quiet time for reflection, and see the illumination of our glorious ‘Tree of Light’. It’s not too late to dedicate a light in memory of someone you love.
Shine a light for a loved one
Dedicate a light this Christmas in memory of a special person you love and miss.
Throughout the festive season, your light will shine brightly on Rowcroft’s glorious ‘Tree of Light’ as a poignant way of honouring and celebrating their life. Light up a Life is open to all – not just patients and families who have been cared for by the hospice – but for everyone who wants to remember a loved one.
At any point during the festive season, we’d love you to visit our ‘Tree of Light’ in our beautiful gardens in Torquay. Take time to wander through the green and tranquil gardens, or simply sit and reflect.

Shine a light for others this Christmas
By making a donation, you will shine a light for others, helping Rowcroft to provide vital care and support to local families who are facing the hardest days times imaginable this Christmas.
“Your dedication enables you to celebrate the life of a loved one, and at the same time to make a real difference to the lives of so many patients and families needing Rowcroft’s expert care and support this Christmas,” says Rebecca Cogger, Rowcroft’s In Memory Giving and Legacy Manager. “Every kind donation will be used to care for people at home in their last two weeks of life, helping families to make the most of precious moments and enabling patients to achieve their final wish to be at home when they die.”
