We are committed to making every day the best day possible for people living with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon, and providing comfort and support to families coping with the hardest days.
Irrespective of diagnosis or circumstance we want to be there for you – our services are available to all those living with a life-limiting illness over 18 years old, and their families, completely free of charge.
From offering advice and emotional support, to specialist end of life palliative care, we are here to help.
Our team of specialists including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, bereavement counsellors, a spiritual care specialist and a music therapist, plus a range of support staff, work tirelessly for thousands of patients and their families every year.
We are also very fortunate to have a wonderful team of volunteers. Whether they’re helping out on our reception desk, organising or volunteering at a fundraising event, working in our shops or cafes, or passing you a hot cup of tea, these volunteers make a real difference to the hospice and our patients.
Most of our work is delivered out in the community, in people’s homes, residential homes and hospitals.
But for patients with more complex needs, or those visiting for outpatient appointments, our Inpatient Unit and Outpatient Centre can offer specialist care and support. The hospice is set in a tranquil, peaceful setting in beautiful Torbay and is nestled among 22 acres of gardens and woodland.

Supporting Rowcroft
The vast majority of our funding comes from the incredible generosity of our community, without whom we simply would not be able to fund our services.
There are so many ways you can raise funds to support our work: from making a regular, monthly donation to playing the Rowcroft lottery, to taking part in a once-in-a-life time challenge, or supporting our local shops and cafes. Every penny raised helps families to make the most of each and every day.
Our future
The UK’s population is growing, and people are living for longer.
That means that more people are likely to need our help each year. Our goal is to extend our reach to 3000 people with a life-limiting illness by 2030
