A truly scrumptious way to raise funds for the hospice! Are you ready to whip up some sweet treats to raise dough to care for people with life-limiting illnesses in our community? We’re thrilled to invite you to join our Big Bake fundraising event throughout 2025.

Whether you’re an enthusiastic baker or just enjoy a good slice of cake, the Big Bake is the perfect opportunity to gather friends, family, or colleagues to have fun and raise money for a meaningful cause. Host a cosy coffee morning, a garden tea party, a bake-off competition, or a cake sale at work or school – the options are endless!

A recipe for success 👩‍🍳

The Big Bake is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a wonderful chance to get deliciously creative in the kitchen and to have a giggle with friends over a cuppa and a yummy slice of cake (or two!)

All you need are a few key ingredients:

A free Big Bake fundraising pack with helpful hints and tips.
Rowcroft posters and invitations to help you spread the word.
A date and time that works best for you and your invitees.
A comfortable venue – this could be your home, a village hall, a school, or your workplace.
Some trusty volunteers to help bake cakes and make the tea!
Tasty treats, cakes and bakes – sweet or savoury, shop-bought or homemade.
Friends, family and colleagues etc to get the Big Bake party started!

The ‘easy peasy’ method 🎂

Here’s what you need to do:

Register today and we’ll send you your pack which includes printable cake flags, posters, invites and bunting.
Let us know what you’ve got planned and we’ll promote it on our Facebook page – ‘Fundraising for Rowcroft Hospice’.
Show us your baking creations – please feel free to post and tag us in your pictures so we can see what talented chefs you are!
Remember that every pound you raise will help patients with life-limiting illnesses to make every day the best day possible, and to make lasting memories with the people who mean everything to them.

Please note that a limited number of Big Bake packs are available for £5 + postage which includes a Big Bake apron and balloons. These can be ordered when registering. Please call the Fundraising Team on 01803 217450 to express an interest and find out more.

How will your Big Bake help? 💜

You and your sweet creations will make such a huge difference in helping us deliver specialist care to local people facing the hardest of times.

£55 could pay for the cost of oils and creams used by our complementary therapists for a month, helping our patients to relax and find comfort during difficult times.
£167 will fund a home visit from our Community Team, ensuring that families are given all the advice and support they need.
£606 could fund three hours of care for all the patients in our Inpatient Unit, bringing comfort and support to people in their final days.
