Dementia and Palliative Care Conference
Rowcroft Hospice is thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting a pioneering Dementia and Palliative Care Conference, scheduled for Tuesday 26 March 2024. This conference, the first of its kind in the South West, is designed to be an inclusive platform for all to gain insights into dementia.
While we are known as a leading provider of palliative care services in the region, we recognise the increasing demand for specialised dementia care within our community. Our conference will delve into the latest advancements, innovations, and research in dementia and the vital role of palliative care in enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with dementia.
National and international experts and key speakers
In partnership with The Ness Care Group, this event will feature a diverse panel of national and international experts and key speakers from various backgrounds, fostering an environment for learning and collaboration. It’s not just an opportunity to gain knowledge but also to connect with industry peers, promote collaboration, and share best practices.
We extend our warm invitation to health and social care professionals, academics, care commissioners, care providers and industry experts to join us at the Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre.
Mark Hawkins, Chief Executive of Rowcroft Hospice, shared his enthusiasm for the conference:
“I am delighted that Rowcroft will be hosting this event. Dementia is the leading cause of death in the UK, and we are committed to bringing it to the forefront of public awareness. Our conference will serve as an essential step in advancing our collective understanding of dementia.”
The full agenda for the Dementia and Palliative Care Conference is currently being developed and tickets will be on sale soon. In the meantime, please make sure you save the date – Tuesday 26 March 2024.
