Open Gardens: Holne Brake, Bovey Tracey

Holne Brake (old Devon dialect for ’ Holly’ and ‘Bracken’) is a moorland garden just inside Dartmoor National Park, developed on the site of a Medieval tin mine. The garden, specialising in Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Heathers, opens into a large area of natural woodland. Artist Jenny Pery’s studios overlook the garden and will be open to visitors all day.

Time: 11am – 4pm.

Admission: Suggested minimum donation of £5 per person.

Parking: On road parking is available in a lay by 200 yards past the house entrance.

Refreshments: Wine available for a donation.

Accessibility: No wheelchair access.

Children: Children welcome under strict supervision from an adult.

Dogs/Pets: Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.

Toilets: No toilets available.
