Open Gardens: Heathercombe Gardens

North Manaton, Newton Abbot, TQ13 9XE

A NGS garden set in 30 acres of secluded valley featuring streams, woodland, ponds and a lake. Highlights include daffodils in spring, followed by carpets of Bluebells that complement displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and a variety of flowering trees and shrubs. Refreshment income and 20% of ticket sales will be donated to Rowcroft. Self service teas and coffees available and picnicking welcome.

  • Dates in May: 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
  • Dates in June: 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22

Time: 1.30pm – 5.30pm.

Admission: £6.00 per adult, U18 free.

Parking: Parking available in car park.

Accessibility: Wheelchair access.

Dogs/Pets: Dogs/pets welcome.

Travel: Via Bovey Tracey: take scenic B3387 to Haytor/Widecombe. 1.7 miles past Haytor Rocks (before Widecombe Hill) turn right to Hound Tor. 1.4m past Hound Tor turn left to Heathercombe.
