As a charity, we could not offer our care across 300 square miles of South Devon without the generous support from the local community.
We are delighted and grateful to have received fantastic support from the following businesses and organisations, who by donating their time, expertise and resources, have helped us to bring our dream of a mobile café to life:
The students and tutors (Wayne & James) worked collaboratively to transform Ella into the shining example she is today! Stripping her back to bare basics, they fabricated, filled, sanded and re-sprayed her, ensuring she kept her vintage feel … and what an amazing job they have done!
With over 50 years experience of working on French Cars, sourcing parts locally and from France,
Gavin, Theresa and the team were pivotal in helping us to get our little lady roadworthy and through the MOT.
With an enormous catalogue of parts available, Andy and his team at Paignton worked alongside Salters Garage to support them with parts needed to get Ella on the road!
Thanks to their generosity and that of MPD on line, our new generator will ensure Ella stays ‘electric’ where ever she should roam!
She was starting to show her age …
Poor Ella was suffering from a lot of rust, but thanks to Simon and the team at Central Garage, Brixham, they made her look youthful once again! The fabricated plates and even made special moulds so that she could keep all her curves and contours!
The flexibility, patience and expertise Tim has demonstrated along this journey has been second to none. He has worked closely with us to ensure that we get very best results as we transform, what was a vehicle used for carrying animals in the fields of France, in to Ella’s Mobile Café.
No special occasion should go unnoted. Thanks to Mike and Maggie at MBC Partners we have been able to capture the journey of the restoration and transformation of Ella. Travelling from far a field, at all the poignant moments, it has been a real privilege to watch these experts in their field!
Branding the van, Scott and the team have added the final touch of glamour to make sure Ella stands out from the crowd!
We were regular visitors at Brixham Tyres whilst Dave and his team took tyres on and off the wheels during all the different stages of the restoration … of which there was many!
Their kind donation of the kitchen work surface has been gratefully received and has added a lovely finishing touch to our kitchen.
Sandblasting the wheels transformed them and added the attention to detail we were looking for.
Thanks goes to Riverside Motors who kindly transported Ella safely to Salters Garage so her restoration and transformation could begin
Thanks to Phil and Jocelyn our staff will look extremely smart thanks to the new apparel they have provided.
Many hands make light work … these lovely ladies provided and handmade 26 metres of bunting to add that extra vintage feel for our events.
The team at Citroen lent us their expertise and guidance pointing us in the direction of those in the know with this age of vehicle. They also kindly looked after Ella until she was ready to move on to pastures new.
