A Mile A Day – Your Way for Rowcroft Hospice

Swim, run, cycle, walk – do it your way

As summer approaches, Rowcroft Hospice invites you to embrace the warmer weather and support a great cause with their new fundraising campaign, ‘A Mile A Day – Your Way’, through the month of July or August. Step outside, enjoy the sunshine and make every mile count to help raise vital funds for your local charity.

The new challenge is free to sign up and open to all, encouraging participants to complete a mile of activity every day for a month. Gather your friends, family, and furry companions and get ready to make a difference. Whether walking, running, swimming or SUP-ing, everyone has the freedom to choose how they complete their daily mile, taking on the challenge in their own way and at their own pace, with one shared goal – to achieve 31 miles in 31 days in support of Rowcroft.

31 miles in 31 days

Hayley Townsend, Challenges Fundraiser at Rowcroft, said: “We’re excited to launch our new summer fundraising campaign. With a variety of ways to take part, we hope people feel inspired to get outside and enjoy the beauty that South Devon has to offer. By completing the 31-mile challenge, our supporters will be covering the equivalent of walking the distance from Dawlish to Dartmouth.

“We want A Mile A Day – Your Way to encourage our community to come together in support of the hospice, helping to raise not only funds, but also awareness of the importance of our work in the local area.”

Raising funds for vital care

Rowcroft provide free specialist care and support to over 2,500 patients and their loved ones annually, covering an area of 300 square miles across South Devon, extending from Dartmouth to Dawlish and up onto Dartmoor. Events like A Mile A Day – Your Way enable the hospice to keep making a difference for patients and their families, helping to make every day the best day possible at such a difficult time in their lives.

How to take part

Participation is free and open to everyone. Upon registration, participants will be able to download a fundraising pack full of tips and ideas to help achieve their fundraising target and sponsorship forms to help get them started.
