Supporting You

Losing a loved one is an incredibly difficult experience. Family and friends can help, but if you need extra support, we’re here for you. You can turn to us at any time, even if the person close to you died some time ago. Support is available for family members and carers of anyone who was helped by Rowcroft before their death. There is no cost involved.

One-to-One Support +

One of our Bereavement Volunteers will meet you at your own home or in the Outpatients Unit.

All of our volunteers have been specially trained, and many of them have chosen to volunteer after losing a loved one themselves. You’ll be supported in your grief journey and able to talk through your thoughts and feelings with someone who understands the many ways loss can affect us.

Group Support +

Our support group meets fortnightly in Rowcroft’s Outpatients Unit and offers a caring, supportive and confidential atmosphere to share your experiences in.

Counselling +

We have a small team of volunteers who are able to offer tailored counselling sessions in some cases.

Remembering Your Relative or Friend

Rowcroft hold regular in memoriam events, where you’re invited to celebrate the life of your loved one. Please visit our Donate in Memory page if you’d like to find out more.

We can also offer ways to pay tribute to your relative or friend, including having their name inscribed on a leaf on the stunning Memory Tree which is situated in our Sanctuary.
