Heathercombe Gardens

This is a must visit garden! Boasting masses of Rhododendrons and Azaleas, and carpets of bluebells in a tranquil valley, with streams running through woods, ponds, and a lake. You will also find an orchard, and cottage, bog, and woodland gardens with unusual specimen trees, with two miles of mainly level sandy paths, many benches and a lakeside shelter.

Parking: Park in car park.

Travel: Via Bovey Tracey: take scenic B3387 to Haytor/Widecombe. 1.7 mies past Haytor Rocks (before Widecombe Hill) turn right to Hound Tor. 1.4m past Hound Tor turn left to Heathercombe
