Donate your unwanted Christmas presents and support Rowcroft Hospice

Re-gift to Rowcroft

With the festive season coming to an end, many of us will find ourselves with a few well-intentioned gifts that aren’t quite to our taste or duplicate what we already have. Rowcroft Hospice is calling on our community to consider donating any unwanted gifts to their charity shops. By giving your unused presents to Rowcroft, you’ll be supporting the care of patients requiring specialist end-of-life care across South Devon.

“Donating your unwanted items is not only a generous way to support patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses, but it also helps reduce waste and promotes sustainability,” says Caroline Wannell, Rowcroft’s Director of Retail. “By donating your unused gifts, you’re preventing them from ending up in landfills and contributing to a circular economy, where items are reused and enjoyed for longer. It’s a simple way to give back and make a positive impact at the start of the year!

Where you can donate

“Donations are warmly welcomed at all Rowcroft shops and boutiques across South Devon. Our shops welcome a range of new or pre-loved items, including clothes, accessories, toys, books, homeware, furniture and electricals. Whether it’s a book you’ve already read or a jumper that doesn’t quite fit, your present could be someone else’s treasure.”

How your support makes a difference

Every donation helps fund Rowcroft’s care for patients and their families with life-limiting illnesses. By donating through Gift Aid, you can make an even bigger difference. This wonderful scheme lets Rowcroft collect an extra 25% on every item they sell from your donations – without any extra cost to you. So, those unwanted Christmas gifts don’t have to gather dust in a cupboard, instead they can be given a new lease of life and raise vital funds to help the charity support our local community.
