Meet our new trustee, Jacqui Lyttle

Bringing experience and compassion to Rowcroft

We’re pleased to introduce Jacqui Lyttle, who has recently joined Rowcroft Hospice as a trustee. With a long and varied career spanning the NHS, voluntary organisations and senior leadership roles, Jacqui brings a thoughtful and values-driven approach to her work. Here she reflects on her professional journey, and what drew her to supporting Rowcroft – and the people at the heart of it.

A career rooted in leadership and giving back

“I’m an accountant by profession and began my career in the manufacturing industry before moving into the NHS in 1985,” said Jacqui. “Over the past 40 years, I’ve worked as a senior manager, executive, and non-executive director.

“Alongside my NHS career, I’ve also held a number of voluntary and non-executive roles, including Chair of AGE UK Torbay for nine years, Non-Executive Director at Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust and Livewell Southwest, and more recently Chair of East Cornwall Primary Care Network and Torbay Street Pastors.”

What drew Jacqui to Rowcroft

“What attracted me to working with Rowcroft was the opportunity to make a difference and use my skills, network and experience in a way that truly matters. I bring a strong understanding of the NHS and the wider care system, particularly in planning, funding and service delivery, which I’m pleased to offer to Rowcroft’s board.”

Life beyond work

“Outside of my working life, I love the theatre and ballet and am an avid reader. My favourite way to spend the weekend is with friends and family, entertaining and enjoying time together. I’m also a dedicated Street Pastor.”

Looking ahead as a trustee

“As a trustee, I hope to help amplify the voices of patients and staff, and support Rowcroft in building a sustainable future. What makes Rowcroft special, in my view, is its people – and the amazing services they provide.”
