Christmas trees and community spirit at Rowcroft Hospice

Local companies bring a little festive sparkle to the hospice

This Christmas, Rowcroft Hospice is feeling the festive cheer thanks to the incredible generosity of five local businesses – Orestone Wealth Management, Spirent, MJ Health Recruitment, Facilitate Change Ltd, and Brothwell Irvine Ltd – who have donated a total of £2,500 to fund our vital end-of-life care for patients and their families. By sponsoring Christmas trees to light up our Inpatient Unit, these companies are spreading festive magic while funding vital care for people facing life-limiting illnesses this Christmastime. In this blog, Orestone Wealth Management shares their enthusiasm about supporting the hospice and spreading some seasonal joy.

Giving back this Christmas

“We are proud to be sponsoring one of the Christmas trees that will brighten Rowcroft’s Inpatient Unit over the festive season,” says Adrian Howard, Managing Director of Orestone Wealth Management. “As a local business, we are committed to supporting the community that we are proud to be a part of. The hospice provides care and compassion to so many local families at a critical time in their lives, and we deeply appreciate their work. No one knows if and when we will need the services of the hospice, but it is comforting to know that the hospice is there if ever we need it.

“Sponsoring a Christmas tree is our way of giving back and supporting the vital work Rowcroft does. We are delighted to help create a warm, festive atmosphere for patients and their loved ones – a place where families can share precious moments together during the festive season. It’s a privilege to give back in this meaningful way.”

Getting hands on with festive fun

To celebrate the season, the five local businesses have joined in the festive fun by helping to decorate their Christmas trees.

“It’s wonderful to play a hands-on role in bringing a little Christmas sparkle to the hospice,” says Adrian. “We’ve unleashed our inner elves, bringing some serious tinsel skills!”

A heartfelt thanks to our sponsors

Lisa Whittaker, Corporate Fundraiser for Rowcroft Hospice, shares her appreciation:

“We are incredibly grateful to our corporate sponsors for their kindness, generosity, and for joining us in spreading joy and hope to those we care for. For patients and their loved ones spending time at the hospice this Christmas, the beautifully decorated trees create a warm and uplifting atmosphere, helping to make the hospice feel like a home away from home during the festive season.

“The generosity of these businesses will help us to continue delivering specialist care to local people living with life-limiting illnesses. Their kind support means so much, not just to us as a hospice, but to every patient and family member who will receive comfort from these festive trees.”
