From April to October, step into a world of natural beauty and discover gardens that each offer something unique. Wander through beautiful scenery and floral displays, soak in breathtaking coastal and countryside views or explore wild surroundings, there’s a garden for everyone to enjoy.
Whether you’re a passionate gardener seeking inspiration or simply love spending time outdoors, Rowcroft’s Open Gardens are the perfect way to connect with nature while supporting local end-of-life care.

Do you have a garden you’d love to share? 🌿
We’re looking ahead to our 2027 Open Gardens programme and we’re inviting garden owners and communities across South Devon to get involved.
You don’t need a large or perfectly landscaped garden to take part: gardens of all shapes, sizes and styles are welcome – from cottage gardens and allotments to courtyards, community spaces and secret gardens.
Communities can sign up to create a larger event, with several households opening their gardens together. You could host a garden party on your terrace bringing neighbours together or get creative with a plant sale, cream tea, BBQ, live music, garden games or outdoor workshop.
Participation is free, and you can choose a date that works for you between April and October. Sign up and you’ll receive a fundraising pack plus friendly support every step of the way. We also provide collection buckets, bunting, and tins for your event.

Capture the beauty of Rowcroft’s Open Gardens 🎨
Each year, we’re lucky enough to visit some of the most magical gardens – spaces that leave us feeling relaxed, inspired, and nostalgic. Flowers often remind us of loved ones, evoking precious memories through their scent and beauty.
We’re inviting local artists and photographers to capture the season’s beauty through their creativity at our Open Gardens. In October, we’ll celebrate the highlights of the season at our Autumn Event at Ella’s Gardens at the hospice, showcasing the photography and artwork created by local creatives alongside a gentle walk through the autumn leaves in the hospice gardens.
