Terms and Conditions of The Big Tackle 2027 Participants
Fundraising Responsibility
I understand that my entry fee goes towards covering the event costs and that I commit to raising or donating a minimum of £50 in addition to my entry fee. It’s the sponsorship money raised by amazing supporters like you that makes a real difference to patient care at Rowcroft Hospice. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone to raise (or donate) at least £50 in addition to the entry fee paid.
Sponsorship Usage
I commit to raising at least the fundraising target of £50. I will collect and pay all money I have raised within two months of the event and pay the full amount directly to Rowcroft Hospice. I acknowledge that all funds raised for Rowcroft Hospice are held on trust and I am legally obliged to ensure that Rowcroft Hospice receive the donated funds. I understand that I am not permitted to use any of the money I raise to pay for any personal expenses.
Health and Fitness
I confirm that I am of reasonable health and fitness to undertake this walk and will contact the Rowcroft Hospice Events team if I have any specific needs related to disabilities, health issues, or medical conditions.
Liability and Responsibility
I acknowledge that Rowcroft Hospice is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to me or my property incurred during participation in The Big Tackle unless caused by negligence from Rowcroft Hospice, its employees, or agents.
Age Restrictions and Supervision
I understand that if I am an adult participant aged over 18, I am fully responsible during the event for supervising any 8-17 year olds under my care, and that I cannot supervise more than three children.
I understand that if I am aged between 8-17 years old, I must have full parental consent to take part and I must be accompanied at all times by a registered adult participant (aged 21 or over).
Alcohol and Behaviour
I agree to drink responsibly and behave appropriately during the event. Any behaviour deemed unsuitable or any inappropriate actions conducted while under the influence of alcohol or drugs may result in my removal from the event. No alcohol will be served to anyone under 18 and the marquee bar will operate a Challenge 25 policy. I may therefore be asked for identification before redeeming my free pint.
Respect for Local Residents
I am aware that the route includes residential areas, and I will be respectful of local residents. I agree to follow all safety advice given on the day.
Emergency Contact Information
I understand that I MUST provide emergency contact details for someone who is not participating in the event for my registration to be confirmed.
Photography Disclaimer / Media Consent
There will be a photographer at this event. This means that photos or videos may be taken of you participating in the event.
Rowcroft Hospice may use these photographs or videos in marketing materials and communication for future events and fundraising; this will include online and print materials, for a period of up to 5 years. Sometimes we’ll also share these photographs and videos with fundraising partners and corporate partners to use in their own marketing to publicise our work and fundraising in aid of Rowcroft Hospice.

Liability for Belongings
I understand that Rowcroft Hospice is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings during the event.
Refunds and Cancellations
I understand that my registration fee is non-refundable, except in cases where Rowcroft Hospice cancels the event.
Changes to Event
I understand that Rowcroft Hospice reserves the right to alter the event schedule, course, or details in the case of unforeseen circumstances (such as adverse weather or other safety concerns), and that I will be notified of any significant changes.
Safety Compliance
I agree to follow the instructions of event officials, marshals, and safety personnel, and to attend the safety briefing provided before the event. Failure to comply may result in my removal from the event.
