IT Technician Apprentice

37.5 hours per week (including 7.5 hours per week college during course times)

£10k per annum (increasing in line with government guidelines after 12 months)

One role based at Rowcroft Hospice Torquay, one role based at St. Luke’s Hospice Plymouth

We offer purposeful work in a uniquely progressive environment and we have a brand new apprenticeship opportunity within our IT team delivering a broad range of IT services across Rowcroft Hospice and our partner Hospices, and in collaboration with the wider healthcare partnership.

You will take part in an accredited apprenticeship course through Estio which will support your development to provide excellent IT support, drive incident response and resolution against agreed service levels, and develop your technical skills.

You will provide first and second line technical support across a range of IT and user issues, escalating to relevant team members and support resources as required. As well as a good general level of education, you will have strong technical skills with experience of investigating, diagnosing and resolving desktop, network, data and other support issues.

You will have a commitment to quality of service and customer satisfaction, excellence in healthcare and the development of IT capabilities and services. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and have the enthusiasm and commitment to work professionally at all times. You will have excellent communication skills and a drive to keep all stakeholders informed of progress.
