Bank Cook – Inpatient Unit

Variable hours

£10.85 per hour

Do you enjoy cooking? Could you be our next Bank Cook in our Inpatient Unit?

At Rowcroft Hospice we believe that a wholesome meal holds the power to provide comfort, nourishment and a sense of home. We’re looking for a Bank Cook to join our friendly kitchen team to provide ad-hoc support during busy periods and absences.

Everyone who works at the Inpatient Unit is caring, considerate, inclusive, and welcoming and we work together with passion and pride to provide the best care to patients and families.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

To be successful in the role previous kitchen experience is essential. Ideally, you’ll have current Food Hygiene Certificates, but training can be provided if necessary. What’s more important is a kind and caring approach as you will interact with patients and their families during their most challenging times as well as our clinical teams and commercial and support colleagues. You’ll be driven by our cause and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as part of a close team.

What’s in it for you?

We have a variety of shifts/hours available between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., 7 days a week which you can fit in flexibly around your own lifestyle. Our main site in Torquay is set in beautiful, tranquil gardens offering a beautiful working environment. We offer free on-site parking, subsidised meals, access to a free on-site gym and discounted complementary therapy sessions such as massage and reflexology.
