We believe that everyone facing a life-limiting illness should have access to the highest quality care, which is tailored to their needs and aimed at giving them the best possible quality of life.
In-patient ward

Patients are admitted onto Rowcroft’s 18 bed specialist palliative care unit for symptom or pain control or care in the final stages of illness. Illnesses seen include cancer, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, AIDs and other life-threatening conditions.

The average stay is 12 days, and many people go home after their stay, either when their immediate condition has stabilised or because it is their wish to die at home following pain and symptom control. The team on the in-patient ward works closely with patients, carers and families offering advice and liaising.

Feedback
At Rowcroft we are constantly reviewing how we can provide the best possible care for our patients and support for their families. To achieve this we need your feedback.
